This truly was an old mining town. Mining operations still go on at the junction of OR-220 and Cracker Creek Rd. A few miles up the hilly gravel road lies a few old houses, some abandoned, some new, and some occupied. All of the home seem to be temporary vacation homes. It lies in the mountains next to a creek and there was still lots of snow on the ground.
